Obituary for Kevin Tyrone Deener
Kevin Tyrone Deener, age 55, passed away on July 2, 2014. Kevin was born July 11, 1958 in Memphis, TN to the late Leon Deener and O’Leary Deener. Kevin join the U.S. Army on September 3, 1976 and he faithfully served his country until July 1, 1979. During his service in the Army, he received an expert badge with M-16 Rifle Bar, 1st class badge with hand Grenade Bar. Kevin accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and joined Apostolic Church and later joined New Salem Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Frank Ray, Sr. Kevin was united in holy matrimony to Martha Deener on March 9, 2005. Kevin truly loved and adored his wife, there was nothing he wouldn’t do for her. Kevin was preceded in death by father, Leon Deener; brother, Leon Deener, Jr. He will always be loved by his loving wife Martha; three sons, Richard, Brandon and Charles (Tiffany); four daughters, Vanessa (Lee); Bernice, Pamela and Shalanda; three sisters, Shirley Jones; Brenda Reed (John), Tiajuana (Kenny) Futrell; one brother, Kenneth Deener; 20 grandchildren; 5 great grands; 2 uncles, Roy Bell & Charles Deener; 2 aunts, Doranell King & Florene Deener; 3 brother-in-laws; 2 sister-in-laws; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Kevin Tyrone Deener, age 55, passed away on July 2, 2014. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m., with funeral services following at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at New Salem Baptist Church, 2237 South Parkway East, Memphis, TN 38114.
