Obituary for Frederick Douglass Wright, Jr.
Mr. Frederick Douglass Wright, Jr. was born on January 23, 1958 to the late Mrs. Rosie Lee Hoyle and Mr. Frederick Douglass Wright, Sr. He was well known for the nickname “Phoo-Phoo.” Fred made his transition into life on March 23, 2020 surrounded by his companion, Sweetie, his children and family. He was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Dixon; brothers, Ricky Wright and J.P. Hoyle, Jr; and a brother-in-law, Melvin Bell.
Frederick professed his hope in Christ at an early age at the St. Peter M.B. Church in Memphis, TN.
Frederick leaves to cherish his memory: his companion, Sweetie Wright; Wife, Linda Faye Wright; four children, Darrell Hubbard (Christina), Frederick Wright III (Sabrina), Keddrick Wright (Lucretia) and India Wright (Jerome); 2 special kids, Terrica Barbee and Anquanette Wright; four sisters, Janice Wright-Bell (Nathaniel), Cheryle Hoyle, Carolyn Whaley and Sandra McClora (James Harold); 9 grandchildren; his boys, James and Jerome and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
