Obituary for William Hayslett
William Floyd Hayslett was born on July 24, 1935 to the late Eldridge Hayslett and Bernice Grandberry Fields in Rossville, Tennessee. He departed this life on November 29, 2019 at Christian Care Center in Memphis, Tennessee.
He accepted Christ at an early age.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dorothy Hayslett; two sisters, Borice Fason and Jean Marie Shields; three brothers, Jessie, John and Alfonso Hayslett; two grandchildren, Darian Jones and Jerrell Johnson.
He was employed with AT&T for 27 years in Racine, Wisconsin. He retired in 1993. William (Buster) moved back to Memphis, TN in 2012 where he reunited with his former church, NWC. He was active with the Senior Ministry and was a member of the Male Chorus. William served until his health failed and prevented him from attending services.
He leaves to cherish his memories: six daughters, Shirley (Willie) Oliver, Elnora (L.Q.) Johnson, Lavern (Burnell) Jones, Lisa (Herman) Verse of Memphis, TN; Sharonda and Ashley Hayslett of Racine, Wisconsin; three brothers, Floyd Hayslett of Memphis, TN, Errick (Slyvia) and Cornelius (Lisa) Hayslett; two sisters, Ida Bea Martin of Memphis, TN and Dorothy (Ellis) Cotton of Racine, Wisconsin
A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
