Obituary for Maureen Hicks
Maureen Hicks, age 74, of Memphis, Tennessee was called home on Friday, September 26, 2014, in Popular Point Nursing Home in Memphis, TN.
She was born in London, England on March 25, 1940, to Alfred and Lillian Munday, who preceded her in death. She shared her childhood with three siblings: Raymond Munday, Kathleen (Shane Dargon) and Joe (Elaine) Munday.
Maureen married Joe Hicks on October 2, 1956, in London, England, while he was serving in the United States Air Force. To this union, five children were born.
She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Amanda Johnson, and four sons: Joe, Juan, Jerome and James Hicks. She also leaves ten grandchildren: Shantondria, Mercedes, Jerod, Jevelle, Jordan, Brittany, Denikka, Danasia, Joe and Joanna. In addition, Maureen leaves thirteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends to celebrate her homecoming.
Memorial Services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Harold Ford Funeral Chapel, 1638 Sycamore View Rd., Memphis, TN 38134
