Mrs. JoAnn Wilson was born on July 14, 1944 in Indianola, MS to the late Rufus and Margaret McClendon. She was the second of seven siblings. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Tommie C. Wilson and three siblings, Estella, Samuel, Sr. and Jimmie. She attended Manassas High School. She worked at Methodist Hospital. JoAnn retired from the Commercial Appeal after working there for many years.
She departed this life on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at her home.
She confessed Christ at an early age. JoAnn spread the Word of God in churches as well as to family, friends and strangers. She enjoyed sharing her home with family members and others in need. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting. JoAnn made beautiful robes, quilts, hats, dollies, etc. and gave them freely. She also loved to sing praises to our Lord and Savior.
She leaves to cherish her memories two sisters, Betty (Otis) and Shirley, one brother, James (Bertheen), three step-children, Rhonda, Ptosha, and Danon, aunts, uncle, and a host of nieces, nephews, others relative and friends.
