Placido Torres Asua, 82, of Millington, TN, passed away on December 10, 2023.
Placido was born on October 5, 1941, to Rosalio Asua and Eva Asua in Santa Rosa, Texas.
Placido is survived by his two daughters Sylvia Espinoza (Oscar Espinoza) of Hernando, MS and Alecia Alafa (Filiberto Alafa) of Memphis, TN, 11 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, His brothers Amado Azua and Simon Azua, and his sisters Eva Hernandez and Lucia Ruiz.
He was preceded in death by his father Rosalio Azua, Mother Eva Azua, sister Juanita Puente, sister Paula Azua, and brother Manuel Azua.
Placido loved football and was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. He also enjoyed fishing, baseball, and searching for the best discounts at the local Walmart and flea markets. Placido was known by many residents in the Millington, TN area as “Honey”. Placido was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He was generous, loyal, and an amazing father and grandfather that will be missed dearly.
