Mrs. Yvonne Elms- Armstead was born on August 18,1951 to the late O.M. and Flora Mason in Bonita, LA.
She accepted Christ at an early age and later joined Koinonia Christian Center under the leadership of Apostle Cedric Taylor.
Yvonne united in holy matrimony to Darryl Armstead on January 2, 2001.
God called His beloved daughter home on July 3, 2020 to precede her parents and brother Otis Mason in death. She answered that call with a loving smile.
Yvonne graduated from Geeter High School in 1969. She moved to Los Angeles, CA where she worked and retired from FedCO; she then moved back to Memphis where she retired from FedEx.
Yvonne leaves to cherish her memories:
Her husband Darryl Armstead; Her only daughter, Detra Anderson; 2 grandsons, Vernon Anderson and Deion Anderson; 5 great-grandchildren; Her sisters, Bobbie Pope, Linda Knox(Rochelle), Wanda Smith, Lisa Small(Daniel); Her brother, Larry Mason; Her sister in law, Claudia Mason; Her Aunts, Bobbie Alexander and Inez Peeples; Her special cousin, Gwendolyn Wilson; and a hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews.
