Vickie Lynn Mckinnie was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on March 28, 1959, to Vivian Peterson and Curtis R. McKinnie Sr.
Vickie joined Vollintine Baptist Church at an early age under the pastorate of the late Rev. W. M. Fields and was baptized at the church. She graduated from Northside High School in 1977 and attended Rice Community College.
Vickie was preceded in death by her mother, Vivian Martin; her father, Curtis McKinnie Sr.
Vickie leaves to cherish her life two siblings, Curtis McKinnie Jr. and Cheryl McKinnie (Ricky); two daughters, Stacey McKinnie-Adams (Terrance) (Pookie) and Coyoti Carter; seven grandchildren, Justice, Jaylen, KeMya, Horace, Anterryca, Antonio Jr., and Jaise. One great grandchild, K’Jarien. one niece, Lashundra (Shun) and one nephew, Marcus; as well as several cousins and family friends.
