Obituary for Thomas Wesley Chamness
Thomas Wesley Chamness (Tommy), 63, passed away on Friday evening, November 7, 2014, from heart failure.
Tommy was a research scientist for J. Strickland & Co. In his beautiful years of life, he obtained two masters degrees. Tommy was a lover of Memphis Football. He was also an avid cyclist who rode every weekend with his two best friends, Charles Ragan and David Reeves.
He is survived by his two sons, Drew Chamness and Alexander Chamness (Patrice); his sister, Lynn Guy (Gary); his niece, Karen Kroh; his former spouse and mother of his children, Brenda Younger Chamness; and his two granddaughters, Zoe and Harley Chamness.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
“Daddy, we will forever carry your memory in our hearts, we love you.”
Services will be held Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Serenity Funeral Home and Cremation Society, 1632 Sycamore View Road, Memphis, TN 38134. (901) 377-3543
