Theresia Zellamae Bowles was born on March 13, 1950 to the late Howard and Catherine Duckworth. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Clark.
Theresia worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Shelby County Hospital for 15+ years, but later retired from Reebok. Theresia was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Bowles .
She leaves behind one brother, Howard Duckworth Jr.; five daughters, Monicia McKinney, Auretha McKinney, Kathleen Pierce (Husband Gerald Pierce), Veronica Butler, Tamala Strong, and Connie Dotson, who proceeded her in death; ten grandchildren, Antonio Duckworth, Tyrion Echols, Tyranisha Echols, Diarius Duckworth ,Devin Dotson, Toni Mack, Conniesha Dotson, Heaven Nunes, Jaylen Dotson, and Geralyn Pierce; four great grandchildren, Jayden Dotson, Ja’ Niah Dotson, Mason Hughlett, and Reign Duckworth; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.Â
