Sheila Brooks Newsom was born October 21, 1967, to the late Henry Johnson and Bertha Esters in Sunflower County, MS.
Sheila’s hands were gifted by God. She had the hands of a seamstress, jeweler, hair stylist and upholsterer. Sheila could literally make you an outfit with accessories, style your hair and upholster a throne for you to sit on. Sheila truly had gifted hands.
Sheila touched many lives as she passed this way. She will be loved and missed by many. Of all the invitations, engagements and appointments extended to Sheila during her lifetime, she peacefully accepted the most meaningful of all on Sunday, March 29, 2020.
Gone too soon, she leaves to cherish her loving memories: a loving husband, Michael Newsom; two children, Stephen Dorsey and Shaquita Brooks; two brothers, Jeffrey Esters (Debra) and Gregory James; five sisters, Sharon Pickens (Michael), Rhonda Fleming (Randie, Sr.), Angela Thomas, Temaka Esters and Karen Esters; one grandchild, Kolton; aunts, uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.
