Born on the 10th day of April in Lassen, California (U.S Army Hospital) to the wonderful and late Willie and Geneva Jefferson. I was born the third eldest of eight beautiful Jefferson siblings; Willie Jr., Michael, Kim, Allen, Brian (Marcy), Katina, ShyEyes, Willie III, and preceded by Kevin.
As a young lady growing up in Memphis (Tennessee), I attended high school at Douglas and Northside. I later moved back to California to pursue my studies in Cosmetology and Medical Assisting.
Parenthood started early for me. My first born was Corey Wesson in 1978. Years later I met the love of my life Rozell Winston Jr. whom I shared 44 years.
We united families and this union brought Terrance Winston, Roshell Jefferson,
April Jefferson, Felicia Bolden, Crystal Winston, Rozell Winston III, Derron Jefferson, and Shaniya Jefferson. My children gave me 7 grandchildren and several pets. We often traveled together to visit our extended family members that include a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, of which I’ve shared many special moments.
As a blossoming beautiful woman, wife, and mother, I loved to cook family meals, quilting, sewing, and coloring. I pursued entrepreneurship as a Cosmetologist and had my own cleaning business. My family knew me for my love of fashion, fishing, music, and traveling. I was also as avid reader of the bible, devoted Christian, and a writer. My smile and love should forever be in your hearts.
