Obituary for Selma Maybelle Bredsten
"Maybelle"
Born in Marion Co., Ohio to Selma and Wesley Goddard. Sister to six siblings (Thurman, Eugene, Don, Lana, Ellen, and Paulette). Graduated in 1958 at Leesburg Magnetic High School. Worked various occupations including; a telephone operator, secretary, and several customer service positions throughout her 74 years.
While vacationing in Hawaii she met, and later married, George Bredsten. Where they had and raised in Alaska three daughters (Karla, Karole, and Kelly). During their 46 years of marriage she lived in numerous states including, California, Alaska, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Georgia. Because of her love for adventure, she traveled throughout the United States, Mexico, as well as Canada with her family always making sure her kids were exposed to diverse people, culture, and beautiful scenery.
Not only was she proud as a mother that raise three independent and strong daughters, she completely adored her three grandkids, (Kristina, Kaitlyn, and Kensley) and her grand pup, Tulip. "Gammie" as she was affectionately known as, was the loudest cheerleader for the at any recital, program, sporting event, and graduation.
