Obituary for Marietha Williams
Marietha Williams, age 69, passed away on November 23, 2014.
Marietha Williams was born on February 15, 1945 to Clarietha Lipford and Mark Jones.
Marietha accepted Christ as her savior at an early age. She attended Douglass High School, where she touched the lives of all that knew her.
Stricken with life changing disabilities at an early age, Marietha chose to overcome and live life to the fullest. She met Ernest Tyson in braille school, from there they created a remarkable life for their children.
Marietha was a kind spirit, never complaining, always caring and loving. She was a devoted mother, sister, and daughter.
Marietha was preceded in death by her brother, Sherman Williams; and her sister, Sherron Winston.
Marietha leaves to cherish her legacy her mother, Clarietha Lipford; her siblings, Robbie Rayford, Paulette Taylor, and Robert Lipford, Jr.; her children, Keith, Sherron, and Tiffani Tyson; her grandson, Darren Ryan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 4-6 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 1638 Sycamore View Rd. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday November 29, 2014 at St. Paul M.B. Church. Interment in Memorial Park Southwoods.
