Obituary for Margie Reed Adkins
Margie W. Adkins, 90, of Memphis, TN, passed away on August 23, 2017. She grew up in Tallahatchie County, MS, but most recently lived in Eupora, MS, prior to moving to Memphis in 1996. Formerly a patient advocate at Webster General Hospital and a Concierge at Belmont Village, she retired at 79 years young in 2005. Always helpful and encouraging, and treasured by all her friends and relatives, Margie will be missed dearly by those she is leaving behind: Her son, Dennis Meeks, her daughter in law, Millicent Meeks, and her step daughters Kathleen Weathers Lawyer and Karen Weathers Hutcherson, along with her grandchildren, Adalyn Meeks, David and Delynn Johnson, Jr and Christine Gordon in addition to her great grand-children Kaylee, Izzy, Zack and Tyler Johnson whom she adored. A family service will be held at the graveside at a later date. In lieu of flowers, any donations can be sent to her former church, Ridgeway Baptist Church, 2500 Ridgeway Rd, Memphis, TN 38119.
