Obituary for Marcella Graham
Marcella Graham, 70, died April 8, 2019.
Marcella B. Graham was born on August 6, 1948, to the late McCauley and Ethel Wilson in Dundee, Mississippi. She made her transition from her earthly home on April 8, 2019.
Early in life, Mars accepted Christ as her personal Savior at Burdette United Methodist Church in Capleville, Tn. She later joined New Prospect C.O.G.I.C. under the leadership of Elder Jerome Hudson. Mars attended Capleville Elementary School and was a 1966 graduate of Capleville High School. She received an Associate of Arts Degree on September 15, 2017; we all were proud of this great accomplishment. Following high school, she was employed by Shoney’s Restaurant. She was later employed at Porter Leath, Graceland and SRVS. All of the jobs could never take the place of what she loved doing the most which was taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Although she was small in stature, Mars made up for it with her “feisty” and “spunky” personality. She loved to knit blankets and hats for her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the loving mother of five beautiful children, Rita Griffin (Alvin), Christopher Wilson (Shelly), Jeremy Graham (Lanika), Jamie Graham and Jarvis Graham. A step-daughter, Alberta Smith (Lester). She leaves twenty grandchildren; Ashley, Quinton, Christina, Ebony, Jerrica, Destiny, Jeremy, Shakiara, Shannon, Treveone, NeJorre, Zendaiya, Jarkayla, Nejerrica, Jimmiah, Felicia, Marcus, NeMarcus, Alicia, Jamal and eighteen great-grandchildren. Four brothers, Jerome Hudson (Annie), Jimmy D. Wilson, Tyrone Wilson and Terrence Wilson. Four sisters, Joyce A. Hudson, Gwendolyn Williams, Ethelrine Wilson and Rochelle Hill (Lonnie). She leaves one Aunt, Marie Blackmon and three sister in laws, Verna Clara Ross, Irma Brooks and Alice Mackey. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will truly miss her.
Marcella has now taken her place and joined the great celebration with her husband, Robert Graham. Her parents, McCauley and Ethel Wilson. Three brothers, Robert David Wilson, Gerald “Keith” Wilson and Stacy “Reggie” Wilson. Her “Sister/Best Friend” Jacqueline Wilson-King. One great-grandchild, Alyssa Jonae Allen.
