Obituary for Louis Jr. White,
Louis White, Jr., 85, passed July 28th, 2014.On July, 28, 2014, the loving spirit of Louis White, Jr., left this world to join our Savior in a home not built by hands, but whose builder and maker is God. Brother White was born March 20, 1929 in Memphis, TN to the late Louis and Rosa Lee White.He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Lula Mae Vassa and brother George White.He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized and joined Cane Creek Missionary Baptist Church where he song in the Mass Choir and Male Chorus.He was married to Bertha White in 1957and to this union,4 children were born. They are Portia White, Carolyn Richards (Walter), Lewis White (Danita), Audrey Butterfield (Jerry) and 2 Step Children Pamela Jackson and Stanley Carpenter.He was employed at Georgia Pacific for more than 30 years before his retirement.He enjoyed listening to gospel music, singing, and spending time with his wife and children. He leaves to cherish his memories, wife and children, Grandchildren Vikki, Syleena, Ryan, Ian, Vincent, Jheri, Jasmine and Jerry. Great Grandchildren Brandi, Bria and Aiden. Great-Great Grandchildren Jordyn, Jalynn and Jenelle. Sisters: Annie Hawkins and Rose Rhodes and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation Friday, Aug. 1 from 7 - 8:30 p.m. at NJ Ford and Sons, 12 S. Parkway West. Funeral service Saturday at Noon at Cane Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 1785 Elvis Presley Boulevard.
