Laverne Jones, 68, died July 29, 2022.
On July 29, 2022, LaVerne Jones took her final breath. The sun rose and the world welcomed LaVerne on September 30, 1953, a day the world became a little brighter. LaVerne lived a full and warm life, filled with joy. She will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.
LaVerne grew up in West Memphis, AR where she attended Wonder High School. Laverne was a faithful member of Riverside M.B. Church.
LaVerne was predeceased by her parents, Ernestine Holmes, and Jackson Porter. Her beloved daughter LaKresha Kimble, 3 brothers Melvin, Jimmy, and Joe Holmes and 1 sister Marilyn Blackman.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Jones, her daughter LaToia (Lester) Thompson, 4 Grand Children Megan Polk, William Rashad French, Jylan Brunson, and Isaiah Thompson.3 Great Grand Children, Chanel French, Lauren French, Kartier French. 4 Sisters Shirley Higgins, Janette Cox, Barbara Holmes, and Jacqueline Smith. 2 Brothers Michael Holmes, Thomas Holmes and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Who loved her dearly!
