Kelly Joseph Kinchelow Sr. departed this earthly life on December 28, 2022 at the Jackson-Madison General Hospital in Jackson Tn.
He was born in Mound Bayou, MS to the late Thomas H. and Oberta S. Kinchelow on July 26, 1954. He professed his love to Christ at an early age and united with Progressive Baptist Church in Memphis, TN.
He was educated in the Shelby County school system where he attended the Booker T. Washington High School.
He was united in holy matrimony to Gwendolyn Gibson in May 1993. To their union, 3 children were born.
He retired as a forklift operator at Berry Plastic in Jackson, TN. He founded and operated a family business in Brownsville for 10 years, known as K's Place. He was well-known for specialty sandwiches, wings and special sauces.
He was preceded in death by three brothers. Edwin Kinchelow of Memphis, TN. Thomas W. Kinchelow and Charles Kinchelow of Indianapolis, IN
He leaves to cherish in his loving memory, his wife, Gwendolyn Kinchelow, Brownsville, TN.
Seven (7) daughters Zaneese Kinchelow, Brownsville, TN. Quawanda Kinchelow, Memphis, TN, Aria Kinchelow,. Brownsville, TN. Kim Adams, Southaven, MS. Demetria and Demetris Kinchelow, Long Beach, CA. Neteila Taylor, Long Beach, CA.
Two (2) God-daughters Deonca Ballard and Brittany Holloway, Brownsville, TN.
Six (6) sons Marshall Price, Memphis, TN. Kelly (Keva) Kinchelow, Memphis, TN. Kedric (Valerie) Kinchelow, Jackson, TN. Jarvis Gibson, Atlanta, GA. Trevor Andrews, Memphis, TN. Kevin Marshall, Memphis, TN.
One (1) God-son Ricky Taylor, Brownsville, TN.
Three (3) sisters Rita Kinchelow Memphis, TN. Mary (Robert) McCray, Saginaw, MI. and Jeanette Kinchelow, Memphis, TN.
One (1) brother Thomas O. Kinchelow, Memphis, TN.
20 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
