Obituaries
Joshua Alan Walton was born in Memphis, Tennessee on October 3, 1976. A lifelong Memphian, he attended Millington High School.
He had many interests, and one of them was country western music; he could often be seen wearing his favorite cowboy hat while listening to country western songs on the radio, as he drove his tow truck to and from service calls. He had a passion for his wrecker service job and received many compliments through the years from customers. He did an excellent job and was a dedicated and loyal employee.
Joshua had one daughter, Emily Ann Walton, who he absolutely adored. Emily was the light of his life and he spent every spare minute that he could with her.
An easy going man who made friends quickly – he loved life and lived it to the fullest – he was fond of all animals, but especially his dog, “Bubba”; he was an avid Tennessee Vols fan; he enjoyed going to Riverside Speedway to watch the dirt track races; he liked to “experience” Beale Street and enjoyed eating out at the downtown restaurants. He was a dedicated supporter of the Memphis Police and Fire Departments and played an active role in attending many fundraisers for both of them.
He went to be with the Lord on July 21, 2017. A friend to many and an enemy to none, he leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved mother, Brenda Harper; his much-adored daughter, Emily Ann Walton; his only brother, Nick Harper; other relatives and many friends too numerous to mention.
