Obituary for Joseph I. Johnson
Joseph I. Johnson, 64, died October 1, 2020.
Mr. Joseph Issac Johnson affectionately known as “Stuff or Uncle Stuff” was born on October 31, 1955 to Madell Valley and Mr. Eddie Lee Johnson in Millington, TN.
He accepted Christ as his personal savior at the Light House Mission Ministries, and was baptized by the minister there on the 29th day of November in the year of 2006, in Memphis, TN.
He later attended Greater Faith Baptist under the leadership of J.A. Cutter Jr.
He was united in holy Matrimony to: Barbara Jean Rule on the 23rd day of May 2004.
On Thursday, October 1, 2020 God called him home at Methodist University Hospital of Memphis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Madell Johnson; one brother, Major Stephanie; three sisters, Mable Johnson, Eddie M. Valley & Ether Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Barbara R. Johnson; one son, Shion Jones, two daughters, Kenya Johnson and Crystal L. Johnson; four sisters, Ethel May Kelly, Edna Jean Hines, Darlene Smith & Dorothy Kelly; eight brothers, Willie Lee Jones, Marin Kelly (Carolyn), Eddie Kelly (Gayle), Edward E. Johnson (Marilyn), Billy Johnson, Ronald Stephanie (Jennifer) & Dwayne Johnson; one aunt, Bernice Lee (Teddy); nine grandchildren; five great-grands; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
