Obituary for Henrietta Traylor
Henrietta Johnson was born on April 25, 1935 in Memphis, TN to Will Henry Johnson and Freddie Mae Becton Johnson. She was called home to be with the Lord on April 12, 2015 at Methodist University.
Henrietta accepted Christ at an early age and soon joined Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was a caring, sweet, loving and devoted wife to her husband of 60 years, Jimmy Traylor.
She was the mother of three children: Kimberly Traylor, Ron (Michelle) Traylor, and Shawn Traylor. She was also blessed with seven beautiful grandchildren. She also leaves three siblings: Mrs. Sarah D. Carr (Sylvester), Ms. Freddie M. Johnson, and Clarence Johnson. Two siblings preceded her in death; Mrs. Gloria Dean Hudson and Mrs. Willie Mae Watkins. She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2015 at Serenity Funeral Home, 1638 Sycamore View Rd., Memphis, TN 38134. Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at New Salem Baptist Church, 2237 S. Parkway East, Memphis, TN 38114.
