Obituary for Gregg Rezabek

Gregg L. Rezabek, 66, passed away at home unexpectedly, but peacefully, on September 14, 2024, in Bartlett, Tennessee, with his loving wife Lori at his side. Gregg was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 22, 1958, to the late Dr. Ernest F. Rezabek and surviving mother Lila Jean Scott Rezabek Busch.

He was a graduate of Westview High School in Martin, Tennessee, The University of Tennessee at Martin and The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. After a brief stint as a local radio disc jockey ("Rollin' With The Rez"), Gregg completed his master's degree and embarked on a decades-long career in marketing and advertising.

Gregg was married to Lori Campbell Rezabek, his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, for 44 years. He was the proud father of Chris (Kylee), Emily and Alexa, as well as the proud grandfather of Miles, Roen and Reese. He is also survived by sisters Jan Roeland and Debi Elliot and brother Kendall Rezabek.

Gregg found happiness in sports, movies, music and trivia. But his most cherished times were spent with his family and friends. He was known for his gracious and warm hugs ("bring it in!"), his infectious laughter and friendly nature.

We remember Gregg for all the warm memories he gave to his family and friends. His spirit will continue to thrive through these memories and inspire others for years to come.

Gregg's family and friends are invited to share happy recollections and celebrate his life in the way he would want to be remembered - as a loving and caring man who enjoyed life.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin, Tennessee, with Gary Wallace officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until the time of the service. Your fondest memories of Gregg are welcome to be shared as we celebrate his life.
