Obituaries
On Thursday morning, April 2, 2015, God dispatched an Angel of love to Methodist Hospital Germantown ICU to reclaim his servant, Everlyn Louise Flowers, and to escort her soul home.
Everlyn L. Flowers was born to the union of the late Reverend Jessie Lobbins, Jr. and Bessie Freeman Lobbins on December 10, 1933. To this union nine siblings were born: Louis Edward, Erma Jefferson, Elean Matthews, James Weldon, Rufus, Willie Bell, Joe Walter, Jenice Marie and Jessie Jr. All preceded her in death.
Everlyn accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age at Powerhouse Church of God in Christ. She later joined Pentecostal Temple C.O.G.I.C. under the late Bishop J. O. Patterson, Sr. She was a faithful member of the choir, Gospel Messengers, Sunday school secretary class # 9. Wednesday Prayer Service, Birthday Club, and cooked for the bereaved families.
Everlyn was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Willie Flowers. She leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Marshall Lobbins; one daughter, Valerie Flowers-Loyd (Joseph); Pastor Marles Flowers; Jerome Flowers; five grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
