Obituaries
Ethel Mae Williams Fitchpatrick was born December 21, 1947, to the late Odell and Pearline Williams. To many, she was considered to be a jewel – known for her genuinely loving ways.
Ethel confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. She graduated from Mount Pisgah High School in 1967, and later attended Tennessee A&I State College (now known as Tennessee State University).
In 1969, Ethel proudly gave her hand and heart to Mr. Lee Fitchpatrick in holy matrimony. To this union, two children were born, Corwin and Dayatra.
She graciously served the United States Postal Service for thirty-three years, until she retired. She was an encourager, supporter, friend, and mother figure to many, and she will always be remembered for the way she reached out to those who needed her.
To cherish her loving legacy, she leaves her dear husband, Lee Fitchpatrick; two children: Dayatra (Kevin) Covington, Corwin Fitchpatrick; to include Delois Broome of Illinois, Sharon (Johnny) Jones of California, and Eric Fitchpatrick of Louisiana; three brothers, Odie Williams, Eligha (Beverly) Williams, and Lonzell (Gail) Williams; three special grandchildren, Kylah, Cameron, and Collin, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ethel also acknowledged her mother-in-law, Mrs. Rosie Fitchpatrick, as her best friend. She is gone, but her sweet legacy of love will be cherished throughout eternity.
