Obituary for Ethel L. Walker
Ethel L. Walker, age 74, died July 31, 2022.

Ethel Lee Walker was born on November 9, 1947, in Buffalo, New York to the late Horace Fisher, and Lemora Fisher. Ethel was a longtime resident of Memphis, TN. She graduated from Manassas High School in 1966 and worked for General Electric for several years and later became a Teacher’s Assistant for Shelby County Schools until she retired in 2009. Ethel passed away peacefully on July 31 at Baptist East Hospital.
In 1969, Ethel married Robert L. Walker Jr., and through that union 3 sons were born. May 10th Ethel and Robert celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary.
Ethel was preceded in death by her father Horace Fisher, and her mother Lemora Fisher, also by her sister Rosalind Fisher, brother Charles Miller, grandson Roshon Walker, and great-granddaughter Kaylani Walker.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband; Robert L. Walker Jr; sons Robert L. Walker III (Angela), Timothy Walker (Christy), Marcus Walker (Amara), Gary Jones (Peggy), Steven Walker (Angela), nineteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She also leaves behind two sisters; Earline Huntley (Pat- deceased) and Olivia Worles; a loving mother-in-law, Flossie Walker, six brothers-in-law, AW Walker (Regina -deceased), Eugene Walker (Hazel), Tommy Walker (Linda), Jerry Walker (Tommie), Ray Walker, Rodney Walker (Gloria), five sisters-in-law, Mary Newbly (Ozell- deceased), Dorothy McGowan (Robert), Minnie Nelson (Kenneth), Tonia Walker and Geneva Forrest (David). She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
After retirement, Ethel enjoyed reading, online shopping, watching her favorite Television shows, and spending time with family.
