Although Cynthia was diagnosed with the complicated and unpredictable disease called Lupus in 1998, she did not let it defeat her. On June 3, 2007, Cynthia gave her life to Christ at the Hollywood Street Church of Christ and remained steadfast in her faith. Those who knew her witnessed a demonstration of true zeal for life and love. She continued to pray and live each day thankful for the blessings and joy granted in every moment. Her service to God and her family would give continued purpose for her will to keep going even when it seemed too hard. She lived a very courageous life as she always believed God was in control. Her earthly presence will certainly be missed but her strength and determination will remain a testimony to everyone she has left behind. Her life demonstrated how unconditional love for God, her husband, children, and family can overpower sickness and provide strength to the body. She was a living testimony and true child of the Most High! The Father called his child home to rest on March 18, 2015.
In addition to Cynthia’s husband, mother and sons, she leaves to cherish her memories, three sisters: Brenda (Wallace) Maclin, Pamela Brown, and Jean Hollis of Chicago Illinois; two granddaughters; Chloé Sutton and Cennedy Sutton as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
