Charles Lee Alexander, 69, died October 7, 2020.

Charles Lee Alexander, was born June 23, 1951 in Tchula, Mississippi to the union of the late Pete and Essie Alexander. Eight siblings preceded him in death as well, five brothers: Willie B. Alexander, Peter Alexander Jr., Jerry Alexander, Robert “Sonny” Alexander and Robert Lee Alexander and three sisters: Ruth White, Beatrice Ross (brother-in-law Robert “R L” Ross preceded in death) and Margaret Alexander.

Charles confessed his life to Christ at an early age. Charles Alexander was raised in Chicago by his uncle Jerry Tillman. He was educated in the Chicago Public School system and attended college courses where he studied Psychology. Shortly thereafter, Charles Alexander enlisted in the Army where he served prior to migrating to Cleveland, Ohio.

Charles was a loving husband to his wife Linda Alexander whom he married October 21, 1989. He was a dedicated family man to his wife and children. Charles was employed as a Steel Fabricator at ArcelorMittal where he retired from in 2010.

Charles Alexander was a gentle spirit with a love for life and people. He is well known for his love of music and dancing. Charles expressed his love and generosity in many ways. Those whom were blessed to encounter Charles Lee Alexander were entertained by an angel. His outlook on life was always positive no matter the circumstance. Charles is known for saying, “It will be alright.”

On Wednesday evening, October 7, 2020, our beloved Charles departed this life, heaven-bound. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Charles Lee Alexander leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved wife, Linda; three sons: Brandon L. Alexander (Bo), Charles Alexander Jr. (Lil Charles) and Maurice Alexander; one daughter Anina Alexander; two step-sons: Sherod Hamilton and Wyshawn Hamilton; eight grandchildren: Amani Alexander (Buttercup), Marcus Wright Jr., Marshina Wright, Marshawn Wright, Jahari Patterson, Tariq Hamilton, Shariah Hamilton and Jarod Hamilton; 12 siblings: Mary D. Alexander, Mary Lean Rogers, Delphine Mitchell (Dr. E.E. Mitchell Jr.), Rosa Linda Lee, Geraldine Alexander, Doris Patrick, Angela Williams, John Henry Alexander (Nina), Willie James Alexander (Gloria), Floyd Raymond Alexander (Mary), Whackey Alexander and Lee Andrew Alexander.
