Charles Edward Bond, Sr., 86, died October 27, 2021.
Charles Edward Bond Sr., 86 of Memphis Tennessee went home to be with the Lord October 27, 2021, at 8:16 PM surrounded by family at Saint Francis Hospital, Bartlett Tennessee.
Charles was born July 8, 1935, to the late Henry Roy Bond and Ruka Brown Bond. 2 sons Mc Kinnley Britton, Anthony Britton, and 1 great granddaughter Erica Christian proceeded him in death.
He served on the deacon board of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, where he later became chairman of the deacon board.
Charles was a graduate of Woodstock High School. He went on to retire from Firestone Tire and Rubber Company. He owned Bond’s Care Homes Inc. and Pleasant Rest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 64 years, Shirley Bond, four children Sharon Williams (Jerry), Gwendolyn-Bond Clark, Brendolyn Bond, and Charles Edward Bond Jr., daughter in law Venus Britton, 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, 1 God daughter Angela Porter and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
