Obituary for Beverly Perry
Beverly Perry, 64, died May 8, 2019.

Beverly Michelle (Michale) Peterson Perry was born on December 8, 1954 to Henry Lee Peterson and Zella Mae Peterson. She departed this life on May 8, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – East/Walnut Grove.

Beverly graduated from Southside High School in 1973. She worked at the Memphis Health Center as a Billing Specialist. Beverly was united in holy matrimony to Willie Arthur Perry in April 14, 1990.

Beverly accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Union Valley Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend H. O Kneeling. While at Union Valley, she served on the Usher Board along with her husband, Brother Willie Perry.

In 2002, Beverly joined Gateway Church of God in Christ with her husband under the leadership of Pastor, Dr. Perry C. Little. She accepted the Lord as her personal Savior and received the Pentecostal experience of being cleansed from sin through repentance and faith in the Blood of Jesus Christ.

At Gateway, Beverly was a member of the Christian Women’s Council, a Sunday School Student in the Women’s Class – No. 3 and the Hospitality Committee. Her stewardship to the church, she and her husband, Brother Willie Perry were faithful givers to the church in purchasing a pew during our pew rally. Her last stewardship to the church was a contributor to the Wall of Faith project which benefits the building fund. She served faithfully to the Gateway Church until her health declined.

Beverly’s sister, Betty Peterson; father, Henry Lee Peterson, mother, Zella Mae Peterson; brother-in-law, Vernon Watson and son, Reginald Preston Perry preceded her in death.

Beverly Michelle (Michale) Perry leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Mr. Willie Arthur Perry (Memphis, TN); a daughter, Pamela N. Williams; three grandchildren, DeJah Adams, Angelica Adams, and Christian Williams; one great-grandchild, Demonte’ Williams (St. Louis, MO); three sisters, Thelma Brown (Lambert, MS), Phyllis Sanders (Memphis, TN) and Natasha Saunders (San Diego, CA); one brother, Henry Peterson, (Memphis, TN); mother-in-law, Mrs. Lorraine Watson (St. Louis, MO); three brothers-in-law, Tommie Watson (St. Louis, MO), Reverend Herman Watson (St. Louis, MO) and Jimmy Jackson (St. Louis, MO); two sisters-in-law, Michelle Jackson and Kelessie Floore; and an aunt, Delores Sanders (Lancaster, CA). She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
