Obituary for Beverly Kay Williams
Beverly Kay Williams departed this life Monday, July 11, 2016 at Methodist University Hospital. She was born December 3, 1956 in Memphis, TN to the late, Garvin and Zenobia Williams. She confessed Hope in Christ at an early age at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Sanders. She attended Carver High graduating with the class of 1974.
Beverly worked at the Internal Revenue Services. She was a caring mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She enjoyed being in the company of close family and friends. Those who knew her will miss her joy and laughter dearly. She was the mother of six children, Veronique Neal (Frederick), Temeka Williams (Johnny), Christopher Williams(Delisa), Lesa Williams, Derwin Williams, and Taylor Williams. She was blessed with ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
She also leaves to cherish her loving memories five sisters, Maxine Brown, Lenora Shelton, Gwendolyn Williams, Marilyn Franklin Dotson (Arthur), Adrienne Williams Roddy (Marvin), She was preceded in death by Robert Williams, Raymond Williams, Deloris Miller, and Bettye
Johnson.
Visitation will be this Friday from 4 - 7 p.m., with a second visitation Saturday from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 12 (Noon) Saturday, July 16th, all at Serenity Funeral Home, 1638 Sycamore View Road, Memphis, TN 38134, Tel. (901) 379-0861.
