Obituary for Archie Mae Jones
Archie Mae Jones, 84, died January 8, 2019.
In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void, and darkness was upon the face of the water. And God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
Archie Mae Irvin Jones was born November 8, 1934 in Sardis, Mississippi to the late Ella Lee Thompson Irvin and John Lee Irvin. She was the third of four children. She confessed her sins at an early age. She worked for years at Dolly Madison.
Archie Mae Jones was the PROUD mother of eight children:
Ella Ross (Wilbert), Larry Jones (Delores), Melvin Jones (Michelle) who precedes her in death, William Wayne Jones (Annie), Raymond Jones, Kerry Jones (Norma Jones), Demetria Jones, Mary Ann Jones Harris (Maurice).
She leaves twenty-five grandchildren and thirty-nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and Loved ones.
