Obituary for Charlie Bond
Charlie was born on December 2, 1946 in Brownsville, TN to Elbert Tucker and Charlene Bond.

Charlie received his formal education in the Haywood County Public Schools and graduated from Carver High School in Brownsville, TN. He was raised by his grandparents: Fredrick (Jabo) and Ardella Bond.

Charlie was a great individual who enjoyed traveling, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family and pet dog Crystal. He embraced his children, grandchildren, and family members with love. He was a loving father, grandfather, friend and so much more. He loved his soul mate of many years Ms. Ann Hanks.

Charlie accepted and confessed his hope in Jesus Christ at an early age at
Elam Baptist Church in Ripley, TN.

Charlie was a diligent and hard worker. His attention to detail in the workforce culminated in him receiving many accolades and awards. His years of dedication ultimately enabled him to retire from Raymond James in 2015 as a manager in facilities.

Charlie loved being around family, friends and always found a way to make you laugh. He had an affectious laugh and was loved and adored by all he came in contact with. On one occasion Charlie was asked the question, why was he loved by so many? and he replied, “because I was born this way”.

On Friday, February 23, 2018, Charlie gained his wings and departed this world. He quietly closed his eyes and silently slipped away to a place where there is no more pain only peace.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert Tucker and Charlene Bond and his grandparents: Fredrick (Jabo) and Ardella Bond. He leaves to cherish his many memories; sons: Julian (Latoya) Boyland, Bartlett, TN, Vincent Parker, Brownsville, TN, Special and loving companion Ann Hanks, Memphis, TN, granddaughters: Felicity Parker, Chattanooga, TN, Janae Boyland, Corpus Christi, TX, Joran Boyland, Greensboro, NC and Alexis Comic, Bartlett, TN, grandson: Deundre Simpson, Memphis, TN, aunt: Erma Campbell, Milwaukee, WI, one great-grandson, and a host of other relatives.
