Obituary for Charles Crout
Charles Crout, died July 24, 2017.
Charlie B. (Jack) Crout, was born September 23, 1953, in Somerville, Tennessee, the 5th child of the late Herman Crout Sr. and Susie Mae Crout.
He became a Christian at an early age and was affiliated with Asbury CME Church in Somerville, Tennessee. He later joined Pleasant View M.B. Church, Memphis, Tennessee. He loved his family and friends. His life was filled with much happiness when he was united in holy matrimony to Diane Lynn Mason.
Jack was a City Of Memphis sanitation employee for 20 plus years. Later in life he established his own business, “Jack’s Lawn Care Service” in which he took great pride.
His parents and five brothers preceded him in death: Thurmond Crout, Herman Crout Jr. (Pamela), Roy Crout, William Crout (Jennifer) and Theodore Crout.
Left to cherish Jack’s memories are: his loving wife, Diane L. Crout; a nephew he helped raise, Cesare (Ray) Wheeler (Stephanie), Memphis, Tennessee; two brothers, David Hart (Queen) of Memphis, Tennessee and Robert Crout (Pauline) of Somerville, Tennessee; four sisters, Josephine Eggerson, Shirley J. Crout of Memphis, Tennessee, Loulah Rivers (Marcus) of Whiteville, Tennessee and Perrie J. Allen (Leon) of Somerville, Tennessee; a dear father and mother-in-law, James L. Mason (Gwen) of Memphis, Tennessee; a sister-in-law, Lia Clayborn of Memphis, Tennessee, and a brother-in-law, Rory Mason (Shaunta) of Memphis, Tennessee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and long-time friends, Robert “Crow” Mason and Alphonso Billingsley.
